What We Believe

  • We believe in an All-Powerful God who is Sovereign over all that is known or yet to be known.
  • We believe the Bible is God's Word in which He reveals to us Himself, His purposes and His ways.
  • We believe He is the Creator and Sustainer of all creation.
  • We believe that He created man in His own image and for His own eternal purpose.
  • We believe that all people are sinners. Because of sin, the first man and woman were expelled from the perfect setting God provided. As a result, they experienced brokenness.  We know ourselves to be sinners and have experienced the brokenness that comes as a consequence of sin.
  • We believe in Jesus Christ, manifested as the Son of God upon earth, but existing before Creation.
  • We believe He entered history through a miraculous virgin birth, that He lived a sinless life, and that He died on the cross that we might receive the forgiveness of our sins and have a restored relationship with God.
  • We believe that He was placed in a tomb, and after three days, God raised Him from the dead.
  • We believe that He lives and that He has the power to break the chains of sin and darkness that hold sway over the life of any person.
  • We believe that salvation comes to any person who will place his or her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, seeking His forgiveness, confessing Him as Lord, and seeking the power of His Risen Life to enable them to live a life that is pleasing to God.
  • We believe that God calls all followers of Christ to grow through the practice of personal spiritual disciplines like Bible Study and Prayer.
  • We believe in the faithful assembling of believers on Sunday (the Lord's Day) for the purpose of worship, fellowship, inspiration, and as a witness of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We believe God has appointed a day for Jesus Christ to return, and at that time He will receive to Himself all those who are His and will render judgment to all those who are not.
  • We believe in heaven as the eternal home of those who belong to Him.
  • We believe in Hell as the unfortunate eternal home of all who do not.
  • We believe God is not willing for any to perish, but rather desires all to come to repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is our prayer that the ministry of our church might advance this cause that is dear to the heart of God and that He might be glorified by our lives and witness.
